Something not working? Write to support@kenopsy.com and we'll get back to you.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Kenopsy, then Settings ▸ About ▸ Restore purchases. It is also on the "Unlock them all" card. Use the same Apple ID, or on Android the same Google account, you bought with. A purchase on one store does not carry over to the other.

Which devices does Kenopsy need?

An iPhone with a camera and motion sensors, running iOS 17 or later. iPad is still being tested. An Android version is coming to Google Play, for phones that support Google Play Services for AR. Headphones are recommended but not required.

Why does it ask for the camera and Motion & Fitness?

The camera shows the space around you and takes the photographs you ask for. On iPhone, Motion & Fitness counts your steps; Android asks only for the camera. The camera picture never leaves your phone. If you said no, turn it on in the iPhone's Settings ▸ Kenopsy, or on Android in Settings ▸ Apps ▸ Kenopsy ▸ Permissions.

Where do my photos go?

Nowhere, unless you send them. They stay on your phone. Kenopsy can save to your Photos on iPhone (it can add, never read) or your Gallery on Android, and you can share them yourself from there.

How do I change my ad choices or report an ad?

Ads are never chosen from what you do in other apps. To change your ad privacy choices (EU, UK and Switzerland), go to Settings ▸ About ▸ Ads ▸ Ad choices. To report an ad, go to Settings ▸ About ▸ Ads ▸ Report an ad. Buying "Unlock them all" ends the ads.

Is it safe to play?

Play somewhere you can see your surroundings. Clear your path before you dim the lights. Mind stairs and the people around you, and never play near roads or traffic. You never need to move fast or step backwards. Kenopsy has sudden sound and flashing light; turn on Reduce flashing in Settings if you need it. Settings ▸ Safety & legal ▸ Read the safety notice shows the full notice again.

How do I delete my data?

Kenopsy has no account, so we hold nothing with your name on it. Deleting the app removes what it stored on your phone, and Restore purchases brings your purchase back. When you tap Start, the app sends a receipt of what you accepted to our server. To ask about it, copy the receipt code from Settings ▸ Safety & legal and email it to privacy@kenopsy.com. We restrict that receipt rather than delete it, because it is our record of the acceptance: we keep it, but use it only for legal claims. If it came from a child under 13, we delete it. Ads come from Google, which handles what its ad software collects under its own privacy policy; our privacy policy has the details.

Can I stream or post videos of Kenopsy?

Yes. You may record, stream and share videos and screenshots of your play, including on channels that earn money. Please don't share the game's files themselves. If a video gets an automated copyright claim for the music or sounds, email support@kenopsy.com with the link and we'll help you clear it. The terms say the same.

Is Kenopsy real? Does it detect ghosts?

No. Kenopsy is a work of fiction. It doesn't detect anything real.

The game got hot and stopped.

Kenopsy lowers its quality when the phone heats up, and pauses if it has to. Let the phone cool, then try again.
